The officers' club established In 1949 is one of the oldest institutions of this kind in south india.
The club provides recreation facilities for the members and promotes the cultural and social activities for them. Serving and retired Government officers belonging to group A & B of State Government and Central Government and officers of public sector undertakings are the main strength of the club. Other categories of the members are, Non-Official member, Associate member, Institutional member, Life member, Honorary member, Health Club Member and Shuttle club member.
The entire management of the club is vested with the Managing Committee. President, Secretary and Joint Secretary shall be serving or Retired government officials. The rest of the members of the Managing Committee can be either from the Official/ Non-official Members. The President shall normally be the District Collector.
For recreation the club has facilities like Table Tennis, Shuttle, Badminton, Billiards, Caroms and Cards. The club also has Children's Park, Family Restaurant, Five air conditioned double rooms, Guest House, Spacious car parking area, Conference Hall & an Indoor Stadium. The club is periodically conducting summer coaching camps and tournaments in Shuttle Badminton, Chess, Cricket, Caroms, Rummy cards and Billiards.
The Club has on its role 955 members as on 31-07-2017. It is affiliated to 66 Clubs in and outside Kerala.
